Accident on Rt 9 in Stafford Results in Berkeley Man Being Flown to Trauma Center

STAFFORD, NJ - Jesse Margareta, age 21 was flown from the scene to the Jersey Shore Medical Center after he was injured riding his motorcyle on Route 9 near the Meridian Fitness Club.  Mary Spiaggia, 74, was driving south on Route 9 attempting to make a right turn into a local business when her vehicle was struck on the right side by Margaretta’s motorcycle.    Initial reports state that Mr. Margareta's injuries were not life threatening.  Route 9 was closed for approximately 30 minutes yesterday afternoon (Monday, Dec. 14) between 12:40 pm and 1:15 pm.
