Rain will overspread the area between midnight and 3 AM Thursday and change to sleet and then snow from northwest to southeast by dawn Thursday. The snow should be heavy at times Thursday morning before tapering off from west to east through early afternoon.

It is expected that this snow will make many roads impassable. The combination of heavy snow and gusty winds may produce some power outages due to the weight of the snow on tree limbs and power lines.

The winds will be northerly at 15 to 25 m.p.h. with gusts up to 40 m.p.h.

The temperatures will fall into the upper 20's to around 30 during the snow then a slight afternoon recovery.
