STAFFORD, NJ - Bellarine Theatre Company sets sail for their 2018 season this week aboard the SS American with the young performers edition of ANYTHING GOES, featuring 6th-9th grade performers from around Southern Ocean County.

ANYTHING GOES is a wacky shipboard farce featuring romance, intrigue, colorful characters, and a glorious score from Cole Porter. When Billy Porter (Nick Somodi) falls for Hope Harcourt (Rachel Vazquez), he decides to stow away on the S.S. American to break up her wedding with her fish-out-of-water fiance, Lord Evelyn Oakleigh (Jonathan Leach). Hijinks ensues when Billy ends up teaming with Moonface Martin, Public Enemy 13 (John Mastandrea) to avoid capture as Moonface's not so impressive ranking on the list of public enemies is well deserved, and leads to numerous hilarious near misses. Meanwhile, Billy and Moonface's mutual friend, evangelist turned nightclub singer Reno Sweeny (Nadia Vito), helps the two steer clear of trouble while her own love life navigates rough waters.

Highlights  include: “You’re The Top,” “It’s De-Lovely,” “Friendship,” “I Get A Kick Out Of You,” “Blow, Gabriel, Blow,” and the title number, "Anything Goes." Music, dance, laughs, and the age-old tale of Boy Meets Girl – no musical puts it on stage better than ANYTHING GOES! A hilarious shipboard romp, wrapped around one of Cole Porter’s most magical scores, ANYTHING GOES is Delightful, Delicious, and De-Lovely.
