Brick's DiGiovanni Leads Brick to 10-1 Victory Over Southern's Softball Squad


STAFFORD - The Southern Regional Softball team were defeated on Tuesday by Brick Township 10-1 at home.

Brick's Nicole Digiovanni went 4-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored and Samantha Le and Alexa Halley each had a two-run single with a run scored apiece to lead Brick..

Erica O'Rourke had two hits with two runs scored and Christine Frazee added two singles with a run scored for Brick Township, which posted six runs in the sixth inning.

Frazee pitched a four-hitter with three walks and five strikeouts to earn her seventh win of the season.

Taylor Bass had an RBI-single, scoring Christina D'Amodio, in the fourth inning for Southern.

Southern's record drops to 4-3 on the season.  They are 3-3 in Shore Conference Class A South.
