BEACH HAVEN, NJ - The 28th Annual Chowderfest Cook-Off Classic was held on Sunday at the Taylor Avenue ball field.  The weather wasn't the best but both the Merchant Mart and Chowderfest would not be stopped.  Chowderfest is a great time and a "tradition for family and friends to gather together to say good bye to summer and welcome the fall."  This year's Chowderfest added a new and "creative chowder" category, along with the usual white and red categories.
