MANALAPAN, NJ - Colleen Brady, a solid player for Southern the past two seasons broke out as a scorer on opening night to lead Southern to a 60-45 victory over Manalapan.

Lauren Cruse had 16 points and Anna Spaschak scored 12 to lead the Rams.  It is always a good sign for a club to have three players score in double figures.  Southern is expected to have a fine season again this season under Coach Tom Bucci.

The Rams won without the services of one of their top players, Mikayla Nicolini who was out with illness.
