STAFFORD, NJ - The Stafford Township Police arrested a couple on Thursday afternoon in connection with shoplifting at the Manahawkin Target store on both Tuesday and Thursday this week.

On Thursday, Stafford Patrolman Luna was conducting a follow up investigation at the Target store in reference to a shoplifting incident that occurred on Tuesday, January 10, 2017.   While Officer Luna was in the parking lot of the Target store, the same white male depicted in surveillance footage from the Tuesday incident was observed exiting the Target store.

Luna made contact with the subject, identified as Alan Hill (28 years old from Forked River), and his girlfriend, identified as MaryAnn Garcia (36 years old from Manahawkin), in the parking lot of Target. Hill was found to be concealing store merchandise that he had just shoplifted. The items were more of the same items he was suspected of shoplifting on Tuesday, January 10.  The items included fit-bit bracelets.  The investigation confirmed that Hill did not purchase the bracelets.

Patrolman Luna was assisted by members of the Stafford Police Detective Bureau and Patrol Division.
