Deck, Foster, Markley and Tilton Lead Southern Boys Hoops to 64-54 Victory Over Toms River East

TOMS RIVER - The Southern Regional Boys Basketball team hit the road tonight in a key Class A South contest against Toms River East.  Vinnie Deck scored 17 points and had six steals to lead the Rams.  Thomas Foster scored 11 points and had 11 rebounds.  Johnny Tilton scored 12 points and Cole Markley scored 11 to lead Southern to victory.  

"It was a great team win," said Southern coach Eric Fierro.  "Both our upperclassmen and our younger players stepped up to provide what we needed to get a tough road victory in Class ASouth.  It was our most complete effort to date."

Mikey Goodall and Nick Silvia led Toms River East with 13 points each.

Southern's record improves to 4-5 overall and 2-2 in Class A South.  The Rams next contest is on Thursday 6:30 p.m. at home.
