Fifth Annual Get LBI Running 5K Scheduled for May 20

SURF CITY, NJ - Get LBI Running will hold its fifth annual charity 5K run/walk on Saturday, May 20 at 9 a.m. to benefit the Surf City Volunteer Fire Department and EMS.

Since its start in 2013, the race has attracted over 1,000 participants and raised more than $22,500 to benefit the Surf City Volunteer Fire Department and EMS. The race was launched as a way to give back to Surf City’s Volunteer Fire Department and EMS for their efforts during the months following Super Storm Sandy.

This race continues as a way to show the community’s support and gratitude for the Volunteer Fire Department and EMS, rain or shine.
