Forecasters Saying "The Major Snow Event Is Coming"

STAFFORD, NJ - This morning area forecasters are predicting a "can't miss" situation for major nor'easter in Stafford and Long Beach Island this weekend. 

Dan Zarrow from NJ 101.5 said "There is now little doubt that this weekend’s nor’easter will cause significant impacts for New Jersey, ranging from snow to rain to wind to surge." 

Forecasters are still not sure exactly what our area will be hit with this Friday evening into Saturday night.  The biggest concerns for the Stafford / LBI area are:

  • Major Storm Surge 2-4 feet
  • Tidal Flooding
  • Heavy snow (or rain)
  • Waves 12 to 20 feet
  • Gale force winds of up to 60 mph

Please be prepared, get all your necessary items and of course electrical outages are a real possibility for the weekend.
