WOOLWICH TWP. - The Southern Regional Girls Volleyball, the 22 seed faced off against 11 seeded Kingsway High School on Wednesday.  The Rams found themselves in the unfamiliar position of having to travel in the open round of the NJSIAA playoffs.  

Kingsway knocked off Southern 2-0 with scores of 25-11 and 25-18 in the NJSIAA Tournament.

Southern, under Coach Eric Maxwell has had a solid season.  They are a team with a lot of underclassmen.  The future is bright.  "Our varsity team is successful in many ways beyond winning," Coach Maxwell recently shared.  "They have great attitudes, they work extremely well together.  The seniors have provided excellent leadership and I am confident we will work hard all the way till the end."

The Southern seniors are to be congratulated for fine careers at Southern.  

Kari Klimek had 4 dig and 2 kills to lead Southern.  Morgan Koeppen had 10 assists.  Lauren Cruse, Sarah Gildea and Olivia Maxwell each had two kills for the Rams.
