BRANT BEACH, NJ- The Long Beach Township Office of Emergency Management reports "If you are planning to leave Long Beach Island we recommend that you do so prior to the Sunday night high tide. We are expecting moderate flooding from the effects of Tropical Storm Hermine which will persist through Wednesday. High winds, driving rain and power outages are also expected effects of the storm. Please move vehicles to higher ground, secure all loose outdoor items and plan accordingly for severe weather. For emergencies dial 9-1-1. Do not call the police department for storm updates, instead monitor local media outlets."
