Long Beach Township Police Investigation Regarding Stolen Bicycles Leads to Arrest of Randy Brown

LONG BEACH TOWNSHIP - Within the past few weeks the Long Beach Township Police Department has been conducting an investigation regarding stolen bicycles for sale on social media.

The investigation revealed that Randy Brown, age 54 of Long Beach Township, was in possession of two stolen bicycles.

Brown was also attempting to sell one of the stolen bicycles on social media.

"The bicycles were allegedly stolen out of Beach Haven. The subsequent police investigation established probable cause to arrest Randy for fencing and two counts of possession of stolen property," said the police report.

Brown was processed and released pending a future court date.

The Long Beach Township Police said "this should serve as a reminder to residents and visitors alike that your belongings need to be secured at all time."
