TOMS RIVER, NJ - David Lytle netted four goals, and Cameron Conrad notched a 25-saves as Southern beat Old Tappan, 6-0, in the first round of the Public A Tournament at Winding River Arena in Toms River.  Southern is the eighth seeded team in the Public A field and Old Tappan was the 25th seed.  

Nolan Ruff, scored the first goal in the second period with less than two minutes into the second period. Lytle followed with his first goal with just under four minutes left in the same period. Ruff would score his second goal on a power play goal in the third period.  Lytle would score three more in the final period.

Paul Keyes and Nicholas Englebert recorded two assists each for Southern.  Hunter Bello, Trent Markley, Reno D'agostini, and Jack Conrad added an assist each as well.

Southern's overall record stands at 18-7 on the season. 

Southern will host ninth-seeded Princeton in the second round on Thursday at Winding River Arena.
