Lytle, Ciaccio and Bialecki Lead Southern Girls Lacrosse to 8-6 Victory Over Toms River South

TOMS RIVER - The Southern Girls Lacrosse team won their first contest of the season today at Toms River South.  Shannon Lytle, Brooke Ciaccio and Racheal Bialecki all scored two goals as Southern defeated Toms River South, 8-6.

Lytle added a team-high two assist as Crystina Blaer added a goal. Clare McCarthy stopped nine shots on goal in the win for the Rams.

"The girls really played together today in the second half," said Coach Lori Bucci.  "The defense played very well."

Jennifer Toal scored four goals and added two assists for Toms River South as Emily Donzanti and Lauren DeRogatis both found the back of the net. Megan MacKay made 14 saves in net.

Southern is 1-2 on the season.  Their next contest is Monday at Central Regional.
