Manahawkin Man Arrested and Charged by Stafford Police for Harassment, Lewdness and Endangering the Welfare of a Child

STAFFORD, NJ - Stafford Township Police investigated an incident involving a harassment complaint of to a fifteen year old female on Thursday June 8, 2017.

The investigation led to the arrest of Thelbert L. Bradbury, age 75 of Manahawkin, NJ.

During the preliminary investigation, it was revealed that Bradbury had harassed a fifteen year old female by making sexual comments and exposing himself in an inappropriate manner to the young girl.

"The incidents had occurred at the Stafford Preserve Complex, between the dates of June 2 and June 8, 2017," said police. 

Throughout the course of these dates, Bradbury exposed himself and made inappropriate harassing statements to the victim.

The Stafford Township Police Department was contacted on June 8, 2017 where the investigation ensued and resulted in Bradbury's arrest.

The police report stated:

Bradbury was taken into custody and transported to Stafford Police Headquarters for processing. While at police headquarters, Bradbury was interviewed by Detective Stephen Fessler. Bradbury was charged with Harassment (2C:33-4A), Lewdness (2C:14-4B(1)) and Endangering the Welfare of a Child (2C:24-4A(1)).  He was released on a complaint summons pending a future court appearance at the Ocean County Superior Court.  

As policy, the Stafford Township Police Department will not release the photos of any defendants. Also, the media and the public are reminded that criminal charges are merely accusations, and that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
