STATE COLLEGE, PA - Having the successful season on the field this season has had people wondering would Mike Gesicki leave after his junior season and go straight to the NFL? That concern was put to rest this week as Mike tweeted onThursday night that he is staying put for his senior season.
“After some in-depth thought and countless conversations with family, friends, teammates and coaches, I have decided to place all of my focus on the Rose Bowl and the task at hand, which is USC, and put a lifelong dream of mine on hold for one year," Gesicki wrote.
“I am beyond excited to announce that I will be returning for my senior season at the greatest university in the country and playing in front of the best fans in the world.”
The Stafford Township native caught 47 passes for 668 yards and four touchdowns this season. Remember to be tuned to your TV sets and watch Mike play USC in the Rose Bowl on Jan. 2.
It is very exciting to know that Gesicki is even being considered for the NFL. He should be one of the top tight ends in the nation in 2017.
