BARNEGAT, NJ - Local residents will want to mark their calendars now for October 24th for some free entertainment at the Barnegat Municipal Dock. The Township Committee in conjunction with the Barnegat Recreation Department has plans for both the old and young at heart.

“Joey D Rockin Oldies Band will be performing at the dock,” announced Committeeman Al Bille at the October township committee meeting. “We’re either going to have people seating by their cars or social distancing on the dock itself.”

Final arrangements regarding the set up for the 50’s and 60’s Doo Wop Band will be made in conjunction with the Barnegat Police Department. The outdoor performance starts at 2 pm and ends at 4 pm.

“That night, we’ll also have a movie at the docks,” Bille said. “Hocus Pocus will be shown at 6 pm.”

Music lovers lost out this summer when concerns about the pandemic resulted in cancellation of the Barnegat Dock’s annually scheduled summer concert series. Joey D Rockin Oldies has always been a favorite of concert goers in past years.
