STAFFORD  – The New Jersey Department of Transportation is currently working on a road paving project on Route 72 in Burlington and Ocean counties.  The work began on Monday night August 19 and is expected to continue until Thursday, August 22.

There will be overnight lane closures and alternating traffic at night when the construction crews are working. NJDOT officials report that the $4.6 million federally-funded Route 72 pavement preservation project will extend the pavement life, improve safety and enhance ride quality for motorists while reducing future maintenance costs.
