STAFFORD, NJ - The Southern Regional boys basketball team led from start to finish and defeated Toms River South, 64-43, Thursday night in Shore Conference Class A South action.  

The Rams have won six consecutive games. Peyton Wejnert scored just below his season average of 30 points with 29 in the victory. Mark Valeriani stepped up and scored 15 points, including nine on 3-point shots. Ethan Dubois had double-digit assists with 10. His brother Jake scored six points.

Toms River South did not have a single player in double digits. They were led by Trevor Wagner and Denzel Wilson with 9 points each.  

Southern next opponent will be Toms River South again on Monday, Jan. 25 at 6:30 p.m. in Toms River. This is rescheduled from a previous date.
