Ship Bottom Police Department Participating in National "Click It or Ticket" Program May 21-June 3

SHIP BOTTOM - The Ship Bottom Police Department will be participating in the nationwide “Click It or Ticket” campaign.

This is a high visibility traffic enforcement program used to enforce NJS 39:3-76.2f (Failure to Wear Seatbelt).

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports that over 50% of all vehicle occupants killed between 2010 and 2014 were not wearing a seatbelt.

Under the Failure to Wear Seatbelt statute, all occupants front and back are required to wear seatbelts. Please wear your seatbelt.

This special program begins Monday, May 21 and concludes on Sunday, June 3.
