Southern Alum Frank Miele Captures New Jersey State Powerlifting Championship

STAFFORD - Frank Miele, a 2012 Southern Regional graduate recently won the New Jersey State Powerlifting Championship. 

Frank competed at the 105 kg senior lifter. His results were 132 kg PR Snatch and a 168 kg PR Clean and Jerk.  His 300 kg PR total gained him the victory.  Miele also completed 6 of 6 lifts on the day to become the New Jersey Powerlifting State Champion.

Miele also won the award of Outstanding Senior Lifter.  Frank is going to Anahiem, California to compete in the American Powerlifting Open later this year. Frank is also a soldier in the United States Marine Corps.
