STAFFORD, NJ - The Southern Regional baseball team came back from a 5-3 deficit in the bottom of the seventh inning to defeat Brick Township, 6-5, on Tuesday.
Vaughn Walker picked up a hit and drove in two runs in that rally to lead the Rams to victory. Southern scored three runs in its final at-bat.
Coach Keith Cocuzza shared, "I am very proud of my guys for never giving up. They hustled until the last pitch."
Nolan Watson and Trent Markley both had a hit and an RBI in the win. Pat Barrett pitched five innings, giving up five hits and three runs while striking out three and walking three. Quincy Vigilio came on in relief for the last two innings and gained the victory.
