Southern Boys Soccer Defeats Brick Township 3-0

STAFFORD, NJ - On Saturday, the Southern Regional Boys Soccer team continued their winning way with a 3-0 victory over Brick Township.  

Southern's Jospeh Kiernan, a junior, scored twice for the Rams.  Sophomore Dayton Champman rounded out the scoring for Southern.  Ethan Leming had 2 assists and Chapman had 1.  Southern's goalkeeper Jay Boehler recorded his third shutout of the season.

"Outstanding defensive effort led by center-back Fernando Tapia and goalkeeper Jay Boehler" said Coach Guy Lockwood.  “Fernando’s leadership and organization of the backfield, along with Jay Boehler’s outstanding play in goal, has contributed greatly to the early success of the team”.

Southern's record improves to 4-1 on the season.  Their next contest in Tuesday at home against Central Regional.
