Southern Girls Track Team Captures South Jersey Group IV Title

TOMS RIVER, NJ - Southern Regional's High School girls indoor track and field team won the South Jersey Group IV team championship on Friday at the Bennett Center in Toms River.

The Rams came in first with 46.33 points.  Lenape, Kingsway Regional and Rancocas Valley Regional each tied for second place with 35 points apiece.

Morgan Koeppen captured Southern’s only individual win by taking the the pole vault title at a height of 10 feet.

Koeppen took second in the 55-meter hurdles in 8.95 seconds.

Sabrina Woodlee was second in the 800 in 2 minutes, 18.80 seconds, and the team of Koeppen, Woodlee, Shannon Lytle and Caitlin Hambor placed third in 4:06.76.

Southern was also champion last year.
