Southern Ice Hockey Advances in First Round of Dowd Cup

TOMS RIVER - Sixth seeded Southern Regional advanced in the Dowd Cup after a 7-4 victory over Manalapan in first round action.  Nick Godfrey scored two goals and an n assist to lead the Rams.  Manalapan is the 11th seed in the Dowd Cup.

Matt Scalvino and Jack Conrad each scored twice for Southern. Paul Keyes and Tyler Golomb each dished out two assists in the win. Cameron Conrad made 23 saves.

Mike Statnigrosh led Manalapan with two goals and an assist.
