SHIP BOTTOM, NJ- The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting he Long Beach Island Health Department on Monday March 5.
Attendees must pre-register through the Chamber of Commerce and check in for the event beginning at 8:45 a.m.
The instructional session is to improve understanding of food allergies and anaphylaxis. It will highlight laws that protect individuals with food allergies, as well as identify ways to improve safety of food service to those patrons.
This 2-3 hour session will teach food handling procedures to insure safe delivery of meals to diners with food allergies, intolerances and sensitivities including gluten intolerance and celiac disease.
As part of the Chamber's Open for Business program, this event was coordinated as an executive session with partner Panzone's Restaurants.
There is no cost to attend this seminar, but space is limited.
Members of the Southern Ocean County Chamber who operate in the food service industry will have priority to attend this class.
