MAYS LANDING, NJ - The Southern Regional Softball team traveled to Oakcrest High School for the Oakcrest Invitational Tournament. Southern split their two contests on the day.

Tatiyana Ford and Keely Himmelreich received All-Tourney recognition from Southern.

Oakcrest scored three runs in the third inning, but the Rams won 9-3 in their first contest on Saturday.

The Rams scored nine runs in the fourth inning. The offense in the inning was led by Keely Himmelreich, Jackie Herrera, Emily Thompson, Tatiyana Ford, and Himmelreich, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Tatiyana Ford was the winning pitcher, pitching seven innings, allowing seven hits and three runs while striking out nine.

Southern registered 12 hits in the game. Christina D'Amodio, Himmelreich, and Kendall Adams each collected multiple hits for the Rams. D'Amodio went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Rams in hits.

In the second game, Southern lost 7-0 to Buena Regional.
