The Atlantic City Rescue Mission services people from all counties in the state, including Ocean County and relies heavily upon donations. This project has been led for many years by Mrs. Adele Berardi. Mrs. Berardi has shared with us that “Our goal is simple yet quite large. We are aiming to collect one canned good, non-perishable food item or personal item to represent every man, woman and child who comes to Southern every single day."
The total number of donated items for Christmas 2017 was 45, 877!
Many teachers and staff commented how proud they are to work in a place that loves, gives and celebrates the holidays with so much compassion! One teacher commented "So many fantastic things happen at Southern Regional. 60 meals were also delivered to area families by the National Honor Society, money was collected for a family who recently suffered a tragedy. What an incredible blessing it is to work with such fantastic students and staff."
Congratulations to the Southern Regional Community. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to the Ram community!
