SURF CITY - The Southern Regional Sailing Team, led by Coach Stephen Warren is planning a celebration dinner this Sunday evening.  The sailors just concluded another successful season.  The team competed in a number of large national regattas this season.

Sunday's dinner, this Sunday June 3,  is designed to celebrate the accomplishments of the athletes and raise money for the program.  The public is invited to meet to celebrate the accomplishments of the athletes from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Surf City Yacht Club.   A wonderful dinner will also be served at this beautiful location.

The cost of the dinner is $30.00 for adults and $15.00 for children.  The tickets can be purchased by emailing Coach Warren at warren.stephen11@gmail.com.

The Southern Regional Sailing Team operates almost exclusively with donations and receives no funding from the school.  This the one big fundraiser of the year.

Coach Warren wrote "With the help of our supporters, we hope to sail an even more ambitious schedule next year!"

The fundraising group for the sailing team, Friends of Southern Sailing, is a 501(c3) organization and donations are tax deductible.  Checks can be made out to Friends of Southern Sailing.

If interested in supporting the team and are unable to attend, donations are always welcome.
