Southern Regional Softball Remains Undefeated After 4-1 Victory Over Toms River North

TOMS RIVER, NJ - The Southern Regional Girls Softball team under Coach Nikki Astheger is off to a 4-0 start this season.  On Monday, the Lady Rams defeated Toms River North behind solid hitting and fine pitching.  Emily Thompson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run for Southern.  Holly Essinger went 2-for-4 and had one RBI. Jackie Herrera and Sarah Manna each had two hits in the victory.

Southern had 12 hits in the victory.  Tatiyana Ford again had a strong outing on the mound for Southern.  Ford allowed one run on four hits in the complete game victory.
