Comfort Named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Offensive Player of the Week
SAN DIEGO, CA - Southern Regional Athletic Director Chuck Donohue Jr. passed on this great information about former Southern Regional athlete Alexa Comfort. Alexa had a strong impact helping San Diego State University's lacrosse squad to a 15-13 win on the road at Saint Joseph's in Philadelpha.
Playing only 65 miles from her hometown of Stafford Township was a perfect opportunity for Alexa to shine.
Comfort led the Aztecs to their first win of the year against St. Joe's this past Saturday. The senior scored six goals, converting on two of three free position attempts, en route to SDSU’s win over the Hawks. Four of her goals came in the first half, and one of her two free position goals was scored while down a player.
Comfort’s six goals marked her 13th career multi-goal game, and the six tallies were a personal best while donning the Scarlet and Black. She also took a game-high eight shots in the contest.
Alexa was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Offensive Player of the Week for games played through Feb. 28. Comfort and the Aztecs next contest is at home vs. University of Michagan at home. this evening, with a 7 pm PST start.
