STAFFORD TOWNSHIP - The Southern Regional High School boys volleyball team took care of business as expected on Friday afternoon when they captured the South Jersey championship..

The Rams defeated Pennsauken 2-0 by scores of 25-10 and 25-17.   They take care of business because they have their sights set on the overall state championship.  Southern has won eight straight championships.  

Southern will continue towards the goal of overall state champions next Tuesday in the state semifinals at South Brunswick High School at 6:30 p.m. The state final will be held at South Brunswick on Thursday at 5 p.m.

The Rams have have own five of the overall titles in the last eight years. 

Shane Bent, a 6-foot-2 junior, led Southern with nine kills in the two games  and Zach Hem had 7.  Brennan Davis, the Ram leaders had 25 assists.
