Stafford Man Suffers Extensive Injuries While Riding Bicycle on Route 72


STAFFORD - Stafford Township Police reported today that a 22 year old Stafford resident was struck by motor vehicle while riding his bicycle on Wednesday.  The incident occurred on Route 72 across the street from the Holiday Inn.

On Wednesday, July 12th, 2017 at approximately 11:25 PM, the Stafford Township Police Department responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a bicyclist on Route 72 across from the Holiday Inn. 
The preliminary investigation by the police indicated that Noah Jenssen, 22 years old of Manahawkin was riding his bicycle on Route 72 westbound across from the Holiday Inn.  A 2005 Dodge Neon operated by Stephen Falkinburg, 41 years old of Seaside Heights was traveling westbound on Route 72 when his vehicle impacted Jenssen.

Jenssen suffered extensive injuries and was airlifted to Atlantic City Trauma Center for treatment. Falkinburg was not injured.
Two lanes of Route 72 were closed during the investigation for approximately 2 hours late Wednesday morning into the early afternoon.
