STAFFORD - The management of the Manahawkin Shop rite contacted the Stafford Township Police Department on April 21 to report a shoplifting that had taken place on March 25, 2017.

The Shop Rite security department discovered the incident while reviewing video surveillance footage.  Shop Rite provided the police with the video surveillance as well as still photographs of an unidentified female who selected various items throughout the store, placed them in her cart, and exited the store passing all points of sale without paying.

Security were able to utilize in-store video surveillance to see each individual item the suspect placed in her cart and were able to determine the exact value of the stolen groceries amounted to $305.61.
