STAFFORD, NJ - The Stafford Township Police Department continues the tradition started in 1978 by Retired Chief Larry D. Parker.

The Annual Wreath Laying Ceremony pays tribute to the deceased police officers and police employees who formerly served for the Stafford Township, Long Beach Township, Beach Haven, Ship Bottom, Surf City and Harvey Cedars Police Departments.

This year's ceremony, held on Thursday December 8, marked the 38th year and was led by Chief Thomas Dellane at the Stafford Township Police Department.

Following the ceremony, police escorts visited cemeteries in Stafford, Tuckerton, and Barnegat to lay Christmas wreaths at the former officers' graves.

The Stafford Township Police Department would like to thank their neighboring law enforcement officers who attended, as well as those surviving family members who attended the ceremonies and gravesites.
