Stafford Police Iron Team Wins Prince George's County Police Iron Team Endurance Competition for Second Consecutive Year

STAFFORD - The Stafford Township Police Department captured the championship at the Prince George’s County Police Iron Team Endurance Competition.   The squad is now champion for two years in a row.

Stafford's team came in first against 31 other departments from around the nation.  . 

The competition is a charitable event and hosted by Prince George’s County Police Department located in Maryland.

Stafford's four man team this year is comprised of Detective Steve Fessler, Detective Gio DeMarco, Patrolman Anthony Vincent, and Officer Zach Wiatrowski. Officer Joe Niccoli also competed backup team member.

The Stafford officers were victorious in this grueling 15 event competition which combined with a 4 mile run through rough terrain that tests strength, endurance, agility, teamwork, and mental toughness.

The STPD Team consisted of Vincent, DeMarco, Wiatrowski and Niccoli. Team Captain was Fessler. Luna and Stanziano attended a support. 

The Stafford Township Police Department defended their championship. The department has a great record of achievement.  The department competed and won in 2015, 2016 and 2017 in a similar competition called the Manchester Elite Law Enforcement Fitness Challenge.  This event is hosted by Manchester Police Department in Ocean County every year.

The team has great success due to hard work and dedication.  They continue in Stafford's tradition of winning.
