This weekend, Governor Chris Christie publicly berated a member of the public at a baseball game, referring to the citizen as a “big shot”. This may seem like a mundane event, however this is a symptom of a larger and more pervasive issue. Whether it is the arrogance of silence on key issues and misconduct of those in government from Assembly people Gove and Rumpf, or the outright condescension of Governor Chris Christie, the hard working and respectable people of our great state deserve better.

In a state where our children are taught that harassment, intimidation, and bullying are not acceptable behavior and to stand up against oppression, the silence from our elected officials is deafening. The Governor and Representatives elected to serve the citizens of legislative district nine should learn the same lessons we teach our children. It is time to send representatives to Trenton who will stand-up against disrespectful bullies.
