TOMS RIVER, NJ - The Southern Regional Girls Swim team competed in the Ocean County Championships on Friday evening.  The Rams came in third place in the overall tournament.  

"Friday night's meet was one of the best in program's history as far as girls swimming at Southern," said Coach Bill Entriken.   "All in all, we were entered in 33 events and the girls swam below their seed time in 29 of those events.  In 42 total swims, they also recorded 29 personal best times, broke 1 school record, and won one Ocean County title.".

1.  Gabrielle Cabaron became just the 3rd swimmer in Southern Girls history to win an Individual Event at the County Championship as she took 1st in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:08.85. 

2.  Gabrielle Cabaron broke the school record in the 100 Butterfly, becoming the 1st girls ever to break 1 minute, when she placed third with a time of 59.96.

3.  The 200 Medley Relay team of Jacquelyn Kilcommons, Gabrielle Cabaron, Abigael Coughlin and Laura Patterson recorded the second fastest time in school history with a 1:57.05, finishing third.

4.  The Freestyle Relay team of Laura Patterson, Hannah Skimmons, Abigail Malandro and Gabrielle Cabaron became the fourth fastest team in school history with their fourth place finish of 1:44.98.

5.  Jacquelyn Kilcommons time of 1:06.27 in the 100 Backstroke puts her second all time in school history behind Chrissy Behr (2011).
