Sunday Afternoon Forest Fire Controlled Burn on Route 539 in Barnegat

With an early start to the wildfire season, the N.J. Forest Fire Service is cautioning the public that a moment of carelessness can lead to wildfires that can place properties and lives at risk

BARNEGAT, NJ - Area travelers should be aware that there is a controlled burn on Route 539 just north of Route 72.  There will be flames and smoke in the area while you are driving.  The Barnegat Police Department recently sent out a press release.  

The burn will be from mile marker 14 in Barnegat through mile marker 21 near border of Manchester Township. 

Please drive carefully.
