Three Southern Volleyball Players Named to NJ.com's First Team All State Squad

STAFFORD - Three members of Southern Regional's state finalist volleyball squad were First Team Selections by NJ.com at the conclusion of Southern's successful 39-5 season.

Those chosen were Shane Bent, Arvind Kumar and Matt Maxwell. 
Coach Eric Maxwell noted that Southern's program has 22 players chosen to the first team in the history of the program. 

Shane Bent has been chosen in two consecutive season.  Bent is the fifth Southern player to be named First Team All-State two times.

He joins Ryan Fredrickson (2004 and 2005), Nolan King (2006 and 2007), Mike Gesicki (2013 and 2014) and Liam Maxwell (2015 and 2016.. 

Southern Regional continues to be one of the elite programs in all of New Jersey.
