STAFFORD, NJ - The Southern Regional Girls Basketball squad lost their second straight game in two days by a score of 53-46 to Toms River North.  This is Southern's first loss in Shore Class Conference Class A South this season.

The Rams outscored Toms River North 31-24 in the second half.  The first half was difficult as Toms River North outscored the Rams 29-15.  Southern was beaten 17-4 in the second quarter.  This was too large of a deficit to overcome.

Coach Tom Bucci remarked:  "We struggled the entire first half.  We didn't play a complete game. In the second half we committed to defense and clawed back but it wasn't enough. This was a tale of two different teams tonight.  Hopefully we can learn from this game.  That's what adversity is all about."
