LONG BEACH ISLAND, NJ — Plenty to celebrate as Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce members prepare for the holiday weekend featuring food, fun and re-openings!

The Fourth of July brings even more to celebrate as restrictions continue to lift and calendars begin to fill with endless possibilities.

The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce invites everyone to get into the swing of summer as the Long Beach Island Region amusement parks, water parks, playgrounds, arcades, museums and sections of indoor dining reopen.

Social distancing is still being practiced for everyone's safety, so rules will limit capacity, but not the good times that are waiting to be had.

The list of things to do: Make your reservation for the Show Place Ice cream parlor for singing wait staff serving up delicious ice cream concoctions, plan your great getaway from Escape Room LBI, challenge yourself at the Mainland Adventure Park raceway and ropes course, hit the rides on Fantasy Island Amusement Park along with Boardwalk style and arcade games. Cool off at Thundering Surf Water Park and slides. Enjoy a cruise on Miss Barnegat Light to observe aquatic life, set for sail on the Black Pearl or book your own charter with many of expert marinas. Explore by taking a Stand Up Paddle Board tour, get a group together for a Pedacycle through Beach Haven or a Tiki Cruise in the Bay. Stay outdoors longer by renting beach bike or surf gear. Spend some time  learning about the region's past and its environment by having your family pick up a Passport of LBI, or for those over 21 get on UNTAPD and explore the Surf and Sip Brew Trail.  For those looking just to  relax, reserve a  round trip ride from Tuckerton Seaport to Beach Haven on the LBI Ferry.
