STAFFORD - Local Southern alum Jimmy Ward, who grew up in Manahawkin, graduated from Southern Regional and just recenly San Francisco State University is a gifted media talent. His astounding resume, considering all of this was accomplished while in school full time includes just completed work on his fourth Netflix production. His resume also includes Showtime, HGTV, MTV and a litany of film festival accolades.
Jimmy is a humble, kind, gifted and talented young man. The Southern Regional and Stafford communities celebrate his impact on so many.
"Chance Encounter" follows a true story about Lauren Raney, a beloved Southern Regional teacher and avid Manahawkin community member. Starting off in the late 1990’s, Lauren is visiting the nearby hospital to visit her sister and is suddenly approached by a man that she will eventually meet again 17 years later.
The public is invited to join Ward Productions and The MakeShift Union at Southern Regional High School on Monday, June 3 at 6 p.m. for the LBI Region premiere of "Chance Encounter!"
Prior to the screening, Jimmy Ward will discuss the process of creating the film, share news behind the scenes, and share why he feels this is an important story to tell.
