STAFFORD AND LONG BEACH ISLAND - The National Weather Service has reported the following information about the incoming nor'easter to the New Jersey area.
Rain is expected in our area early on Friday evening. The earliest will be minor. The major nasty weather is going to be Saturday between 2 a.m. and noon.
East-northeast winds are expected to average around 30 m.p.h. with gusts of 50 m.p.h. in the Southern Ocean area.
Please be sure to tie down outdoor furniture, other items and even halloween decorations, etc. before the storm hits.
The strong winds are expected to push a lot of ocean water towards the beach. Saturday morning's high tide is expected to be 2 feet higher than normal. The flooding is expected to force road closures. The waves will be over 8 feet and there is possibility of beach erosion.
