STAFFORD - On Labor Day morning Stafford Township Police responded to a two vehicle crash.  The accident at 9:05 a.m. 

Stafford Police's investigation revealed a Honda Accord driven by Christopher Longo, 38of Barnegat, NJ, was traveling north on Route 9 approaching Silo Road.

As Longo approached Silo Road he attempted to go around another Honda Accord driven by Patricio Lozano, 25, of Manahawkin. Lozano was in the process of turning left on Silo Road.  The two vehicles collided. Both vehicles sustained significant damage and had to be towed form the scene. All parties were believed to be wearing their seatbelts at the time of this crash.

Traffic on Route 9 was directed through the scene for approximately a half hour.

Patrolman Jillson is the investigating officer, and the accident is still under investigation. Assisting on scene were Sgt. Schiattarella, Officer Samaritano, The Stafford Township Volunteer Fire Department and The Stafford Township Volunteer EMS.
