STAFFORD - At approximately 3:30 p.m. on Friday November 2, Stafford Police announced that they were actively searching for a missing male with dementia.

At about 12 p.m. on Friday, he was at the Manahawkin Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, located at 1211 Route 72 in Manahawkin, but then was gone. 

At approximately 4:40 p.m. on Friday he was spotted walking in the area of Treasure Avenue towards Lighthouse Drive, police said. "He is not wearing shoes and may have a blanket or garment of some type on his head. He was last seen wearing a red T-shirt and gray sweatpants."

His name is Bu Quach,

Asian Male:

  • 65 years old
  •  5’3
  • Approximately 120 lbs.
  • Shaved/short hair
  • Goatee
  • Last seen wearing a red sweater, dark green pants, and yellow wristband.

The Stafford Township Police Department and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department K9/Bloodhound Unit are currently on scene actively searching for Mr. Quach.

As of Saturday morning at 10:34 a.m. the Ocean County Sheriff announced that Mr. Quach is still missing and was last seen in the Ocean Acres section of Stafford Township.

Stafford Police said, "We are still searching for Mr Quach. We ask residents in the area of Treasure Avenue to check their sheds, yards and decks to see if Mr. Quach may have entered their property. He was last observed on Treasure Avenue between Nautilus and Lighthouse."
