STAFFORD - Stafford Police responded to a three vehicle collision on Friday on Route 72 near Breakers Drive. A Jeep Grand Cherokee operated by Brianna Matullo, 25 of Manahawkin, was traveling west on Route 72 near Breakers Drive when she did not see traffic stopped in fron of her.

Matullo crashed into the rear of a 2012 Honda CRV driven by Maria Veloso, 68 of North Brunswick. This caused Matullo and Veloso’s vehicle to struck a third vehicle, a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Joe Adams, 28 of Pipersville, PA.

Matullo, Veloso’s, and Adams’ vehicle sustained extensive damage from the collision and were removed from the scene by South Shore Towing.

Stafford EMS and Quality Medical transported Veloso and her passenger to Southern Ocean Medical Center for treatment.

Matullo will be charged with Careless Driving, pending a future court appearance in Stafford Municipal Court. This collision is under investigation by Patrolman Justin Pascale, with assistance from Sergeant Robert Conforti.
