Lacey Defeats Southern 6-3 in Football Action on Saturday

LACEY - This was a defensive battle between two Constitution Division rivals.  Southern took the lead in the second quarter on a 35 yard field goal by Zach Hem.  

Lacey's Cole Gudzak had a fumble recovery in the end zone to give Lacey the six points they needed for victory. The PAT failed.

STAFFORD - The Southern Regional Girls Soccer team defeated Long Branch 9-1 on Saturday morning in Long Branch. Shae Cassidy and Megan Lockwood each scored two goals.  Others scoring for the Rams include Ashley Altman, Sarah Harkness, Riley Schoka, Hailey Hochstrasser, and Stella Freda.

LONG BRANCH - Southern Boys Soccer suffered their first loss of the season on Saturday morning in Long Branch. Stiviny Silva scored the game-winning goal in the first minute of overtime off an assist form Jose Herrera as Long Branch beat the Rams 2-1. Silva scored both goals for Long Branch.

Southern's Girls Gymnastic Team Opens Season with Victory Over Toms River South

TOMS RIVER - The Southern Regional Gymnastics opened their season on Friday with a 103.95 to 96.475 victory over Toms River South.

Southern's Hailey Klimas led in all-around scoring with 34.625, South's Emma Haskel came in second with 33.975 and Southern's Alexandria English scored 32.225.
