Minafo and Barbera Lead Southern Field Hockey to 4-0 Shore Conference Tourney Victory Over Henry Hudson

STAFFORD - Samantha Minafo and Erika Barbera tallied two goals apiece and Emma Wilhelm dished out two assists to lead Southern to a 4-0 victory over Henry Hudson in Manahawkin.

Maitland Demand and Kait Conroy had an assist apiece and Maddie Leyh made five saves for Southern, which led 3-0 at halftime.

Brea Carlstrom had 11 saves for Henry Hudson.

Southern's Girls Volleyball Squad Defeats Long Branches and Falls to North Hunterdon

STAFFORD - The Southern Regional Girls Volleyball team lost 25-18 and 25-21 to North Hunterdon.  In their second contest they defeated Long Branch 25-7 and 25-3.

Southern Regional Field Hockey Team Rolls to 16th Win of Season

Martin Truex Victorious at Charlotte Motor Speedway and Advances in Playoffs

CHARLOTTE, NC - Stafford Township native Martin Truex Jr. won his career-high sixth victory of the season, dominating the final 100 laps and winning the race off pit road when the final caution flew on Lap 334.

STAFFORD - Samantha Minafo posted a hat trick as Southern defeated Brick Township, 6-1 at home on Friday afternoon.  Her teammates Maitland Demand scored twice and Kait Conroy scored once to lead the Rams.  Conroy and Erika Barbera both tallied two assists as Maddie Leyh made four saves.

Alyssa Carlucci scored the lone goal for Brick Township.
