STAFFORD — Emily Raylman and Kate O’Boyle scored and led the Southern Lady Rams to a 2-0 win over seventh-seeded Middletown South in the quarterfinal round of the Shore Conference Tournament on Tuesday.
Raylman and Erika Barbera had one assist each in the victory. Maddy Brown made one save in the shutout for Southern (16-1).
Lauren Palmadesso made nine saves for Middletown South.
Along with their win, Coach Lombardo-Adams reached her 100th career win.
Coach Lombardo said, "Thank you everyone. I feel so lucky every day to be the coach of Southern Field Hockey."
“I am blessed to have inherited a tremendous program that Kathy Snyder spent much of her life building," Coach Lombardo said, "I wish she was at my 100th win and there are many times when I wish I could call her for advice. However I know she is with us and will be with us as we finish this season."
Southern will play third-seeded Rumson-Fair Haven, No. 10 in the NJ.com Top 20, in the semifinal round on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
